Xcentric Cloud Data Backup Policy

General

  • Onsite Backups are performed daily
  • Daily backups are incremental backups
  • Bi-Weekly full backups are performed on either Tues/Friday or Wed/Saturday
  • Monthly and Yearly backups are full backups. Yearly is considered every April 30th.
  • Backups are independent of your firm’s data retention polices. Each firm decides when to purge data from live folders as they deem appropriate.

Accessible Data/Archive

  • Onsite:
    • Previous 30 days (bi-weekly full backup)
  • Offsite:
    • Previous 12 Months (monthly full backup)
    • Previous 3 Years (annual full backup performed end of April)

File Restoration Methods and Timeframe

  • Onsite backups:
    • Shadow Copy
    • Restore is available immediately. Number of Shadow Copy restore points is dependent upon the number of snapshots taken and total size of data. Age of Shadow Copy is also dependent on number of snapshots and total size of data
  • Offsite backup:
    • Submit quick ticket requesting restoration
    • Restore will be completed within 2 business days
